TYPOGRAPHY — BOOKBINDING

In the last year at OCAD University Editorial course, I embarked on a creative exploration of bookbinding and typography. I interviewed fellow students within the thesis group, capturing their projects in a unique format. Each student's name and thesis project were elegantly presented on facing pages, designed for easy removal, allowing readers to keep a tangible memory of each project.

This project served as a testament to the dynamic intersection of art, design, and storytelling.

The title "Why Things Are the Way They Are" was chosen to convey the project's focus on understanding the underlying motivations and reasons behind the thesis projects of fellow students. It reflects the project's core theme of exploring the 'why' and 'how' of these creative endeavors, inviting readers to delve into the stories and motivations behind each project.
